Digital accessibility means designing websites, applications, and other digital content so they are accessible and usable for everyone. Accessible digital experiences are essential for people with disabilities, benefit all users, and support the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s commitment to fostering an inclusive community.
If you encounter a digital accessibility barrier in Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ web content, reporting it helps Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ identify and address issues that may prevent community members from fully accessing information and services. Digital barriers can include online forms that cannot be used with a keyboard, inaccessible electronic documents, videos without captions, or websites and applications that do not work with screen readers.
If a barrier affects your ability to access a Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ website, video, online form, or other technology resource, you have two ways to report it:
- If you have a Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ NetID, complete the form (login required).
- If you don’t have a Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ NetID, email help@uw.edu with a detailed description of the barrier and where you experienced it.
Once submitted, your report will be routed to the appropriate team for review and resolution, and you can track its progress through Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ’s online ticketing system.
By reporting barriers when they arise, you play an important role in helping create a more accessible digital environment for everyone at Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.
