SPOKANE, Washington — The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has released its architectural renderings for the redesign of the former Spokane Visitors Center, soon to be the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Spokane Center. Located in the heart of Spokane’s University District, the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Spokane Center will serve as a hub for Spokane-area alumni, students, prospective students, parents and supporters with space for meetings and special events. The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ has retained Spokane architectural firm Blue Room Architecture & Design, PS to lead the remodel of the space, which is expected to open in May 2015.

“Spokane and the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ have enjoyed a strong and productive relationship for many years,â€ Spokane Mayor David Condon said. “This investment in the growing University District is a strong reminder of the quality of the higher education options available right here in Spokane.â€

“We are extremely excited to have a new gathering space in Spokane for people to further engage with the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ,â€ said Randy Hodgins, Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Vice President for External Affairs. “With the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Spokane Center, we will be strengthening our presence  with a dedicated space in the heart of the city where students, potential students, alumni and community supporters can gather for receptions, special events, or to just learn more about the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ.â€

The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Spokane Center will contain flexible event space for gatherings of up to 30 people, as well as working space for up to six Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ staff members. The Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is also exploring the possibility of offering limited Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ merchandise sales.
