Husky Pawket Guide
From the desk of Dr. Denzil Suite
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ Division of Student Life
Hello Husky,
Yesterday’s midterm elections mean we’ve finally reached the end of a long and often contentious election season that saw heated rhetoric locally and nationally. But amid all the different opinions and debates, our campus community demonstrated again and again our commitment to respectful dialogue across differences.
One of the hallmarks of the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ is that we welcome open and civil communication across ideological and political lines, and we encourage all members of our community to engage in thoughtful discussions that deepen their understanding of others’ points of view.
Now that the elections are over, I hope you will continue that dialogue. An essential part of your Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ education is understanding different perspectives and opinions, so I encourage you to seek out ideas that challenge you and help you engage in the important work of being an informed citizen. Remember: although the elections have ended, the work of civic participation has not.
Sincerely,
Denzil
